Meet Drew Brown
Drew Brown Free Camps, founded by Andrew Brown II, is a nonprofit dedicated to using basketball to inspire and uplift the next generation.
With 17 years of collegiate coaching experience, Drew a proud native of Pontiac, Michigan, understands that the lessons learned on the court extend far beyond the game itself.
Brown was a three‑year letter winner at Mercer University in Macon, GA, competing in the ASUN Conference. A three‑time ASUN All‑Academic Team selection, he led Mercer with a 15.5‑point scoring average as a senior. He began his collegiate career at Owens Community College in Toledo, Ohio, helping his team achieve a 28–6 record.
Following his collegiate career, Brown played professionally in Germany’s second league and later toured the Czech Republic and Bulgaria with Athletes in Action in 2008.
Andrew combines his passion for basketball with a commitment to education, holding a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s degree in Education from Mercer University, as well as a second Master’s degree in Sport Education from Gardner‑Webb University.
Andrew is currently a Division I Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Western Carolina University in North Carolina.
